Mrs. Goza- Director
Mrs. Goza was born and raised in Friendswood, Texas, where she started her dance career at Bonnie Siscoe School of Dance at the age of two. Other studios and private dance teams that shaped her career were the Friendswood Fillies, Star Steppers, Dancin’ Angels, Clear Lake Rockettes, and finally the Friendswood High School Wranglerettes. During her time as a W-gal, she served as Deputy her junior year, and Sheriff her senior year. Upon her graduation from FHS in 2009, she pursued her dream of becoming a Kilgore College Rangerette. Not only was she chosen to be a part of the 70th line, she was selected as a member of the elite group, the Swingsters.
After her Rangerette career, she decided to further her passion for dance at Texas State University in hopes of becoming a drill team director. Mrs.Goza graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor Degree in Dance and a certification in Physical Education in 2013. Mrs. Goza has served as the Assistant Director 2014-2015 as well as Assistant Choreographer for the Friendswood High School Musical Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast. Mary Poppins was nominated for best choreography at the 2014 Tommy Tunes Awards. She is also employed by Encore Creative Productions during the summer to choreograph for numerous schools around Texas. She specializes in field routines, contest routines, and spring show pieces. Mrs. Goza married the love of her life in January 2016, and welcomed their first daughter in September, 2018. When she is not working, she loves spending time with her family and husband, Garrett. She enjoys doing activities outdoors, shopping, and relaxing. Mrs. Goza was announced as Director of the pride and joy of Friendswood High School in May 2015. She is honored to direct her alma mater and is anxious about the upcoming year! She is excited to be a Mustang again, and hopes to carry out the Friendswood traditions that are still very much a part of her life.
Mrs. Walker - Assistant Director
Mrs. Walker was born and raised in Clear Lake, Texas, where she started her dance career at Dance Tree at the age of two. Other studios and private dance teams that shaped her career were the Clear Lake Rockettes, and the Clear Lake High School Fabulous Falcon Flairs. During her time as a Flair, she served a Freshman Flair Officer, Social Officer Treasurer and finally Social Officer Vice President.
After high school, Mrs. Walker attended Baylor University. She joined the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta and then went on to dance on the Baylor Spirit Squads as a Songleader, where she was awarded Most Improved. Mrs. Walker continued her career in the athletic world by working for Baylor Athletics Marketing. Mrs. Walker graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, a minor in Film & Digital Media and an emphasis in Marketing and Photography.
For the past 3 years, Mrs. Walker has had the privilege of teaching elementary education. While living in Colorado Springs, she was the head director of the Palmer Ridge Poms Team for a year. Upon her family's move back to Texas, Mrs. Walker prayed the dance world would open doors for her to pursue her dreams. As a blessed dreamer, Mrs. Walker was lucky to have been chosen to help guide and lead the Pride & Joy of Friendswood for this upcoming season, and hopefully more to come!
Mrs. Walker is also a professional photographer, running her own photography company, Mallory Walker Creative. She also is happily married to her college sweetheart, currently has 1 son, Miles, and a crazy happy dog, Cooper. Mrs. Walker is honored and blessed to come back to her hometown and work for a team she always well respected as a dancer. The Walker family is excited to dig their roots into League City and to learn the amazing traditions and ways of the Friendswood Mustangs!
